Working with Osaka University’s medical AI research community

Dentou Mind maintains an active research collaboration with Professor Ryo Kawasaki — Vice Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center for Medical Research and Application at Osaka University Hospital, and Professor in the Division of Public Health, Department of Social Medicine, at Osaka University’s Graduate School of Medicine.

Professor Kawasaki’s work spans the epidemiology and prevention of chronic disease, multi-level public-health research, and the governance frameworks under which medical data and AI research are conducted. Our collaboration focuses on the responsible introduction of AI agents into clinical and public-health settings — evaluation methodology, real-world workflow fit, and governance approaches that institutional review processes can trust.

Members of our founding team have contributed to international conferences in human–computer interaction and applied human factors, served in session- and track-organizing roles at international venues, and published peer-reviewed studies spanning clinical skill assessment, surgical gaze and technique analysis, nursing-care ergonomics, and the motion analysis of traditional craftsmanship.

This background — measuring how experts actually work — informs our engineering culture: we observe first, quantify carefully, and deploy only what institutions can govern.
